Wedding Photobooks, Printed and Bound in Delhi

Your photographer hands over a thousand photos. A wedding photobook turns the best of them into something the family will actually open, pass around and keep for decades.

An open Binder layflat photobook

Why print your wedding photos as a book

Wedding photos tend to live in a pen drive or a cloud folder that nobody opens after the first month. A printed book puts the day in order: the haldi, the mehendi, the sangeet, the pheras, the vidaai and the reception, told as one story. Every Binder photobook is printed on 250gsm matte art paper and bound layflat, so pages open completely flat and a photo can run across both pages without disappearing into the fold. Every book is colour-checked and reviewed before it goes to press.

What a 40-page wedding album costs

Most couples want more than the 20 pages included in the base price. Here is what one copy costs at 40 pages:

Size20 pages (base)Extra 20 pages40-page book
8.5″ × 8.5″₹2,200₹1,000 (₹200 per 4 pages)₹3,200
12″ × 12″₹4,200₹2,000 (₹100 per page)₹6,200
12″ × 18″₹6,300₹3,000 (₹150 per page)₹9,300

Copies for both families

Order 10 or more copies of the same book and every copy drops to the bulk rate automatically, with no code needed. The 8.5″ × 8.5″ book goes from ₹2,200 to ₹1,100 a copy, and the 12″ × 12″ from ₹4,200 to ₹2,940. Ten 20-page 8.5″ copies cost ₹11,000 in total, which covers both sets of parents, grandparents and siblings, with copies to spare. Extra pages are charged per copy at the usual rate. For more than 50 copies, contact us for a quote.

How it works

  1. Pick your size. Start a photobook and choose 8.5″, 12″ × 12″ or 12″ × 18″.
  2. Add your photos. Upload JPEG, PNG or HEIC (iPhone) files. Lay pages out freely, or let auto-arrange do a first pass, and add text in any Google Font. The editor flags any photo below 300 DPI at the size you've placed it, so you can swap it before ordering.
  3. Check your pages. Preview every spread in the editor before you order, and we review every book again before it goes to press.
  4. We print and bind. Production takes about a week from the day your file is confirmed. Expedited turnaround of 3–4 days is available; ask us.
  5. Delivered to your door. Insured courier to any PIN code in India, typically 5 days after dispatch. In Delhi NCR you can also collect from our Okhla Phase I studio.

For wedding photographers

Many of the books we print are made by photographers for their couples. Design the album in our editor and order a single copy for the couple, or ten or more at the bulk rate for the families. Message us on WhatsApp to talk about regular orders.

Questions couples ask

How long does a wedding photobook take?

About a week to print from the day your file is confirmed, plus about 5 days for delivery. Expedited 3–4 day printing is available on request.

Can I order different numbers of copies for each family?

Yes. There is no minimum order, so you can order a single copy. Ten or more copies of the same book are charged at the bulk rate.

Our photographer gave us edited files. Can we use them directly?

Yes. Upload the full-resolution JPEGs your photographer delivered rather than copies saved from WhatsApp or social media, which are heavily compressed.

What if the book arrives damaged?

Contact us within 7 days with photos. If the book is damaged or the print is clearly below standard, we will reprint it at no charge.

How Many Pages Should a Wedding Photobook Have?

For most weddings, 40 to 60 pages is the sweet spot. Fewer pages feels rushed; far more, and the best photos get lost among the rest. Here is how to decide.

Start with the photos, not the page count

A wedding photographer typically delivers several hundred edited photos. A good book uses a small fraction of them. As a rough guide, a page holds one hero photo on its own, or two to four smaller photos that belong together. That means:

PagesPhotos it comfortably holdsGood for
20about 30–50A highlights book, or copies for relatives
40about 60–100Most weddings, told from start to finish
60about 90–150Multi-day weddings with many functions

Give each function its own chapter

Plan the book in the order the day happened. Sort your photos into folders before you open the editor: preparations, haldi, mehendi, sangeet, baraat, pheras, vidaai, reception. Then give each a set number of pages. A wedding with five functions at about six pages each, plus a few pages for portraits and an opening and closing spread, lands naturally at around 40 pages.

Choosing what makes the cut

What it costs at Binder

Every size includes 20 pages in the base price. Extra pages cost ₹200 per 4 pages on the 8.5″ book, ₹100 per page on the 12″ × 12″, and ₹150 per page on the 12″ × 18″ (added in steps of 4 pages). Delivery anywhere in India is included.

Size20 pages40 pages60 pages
8.5″ × 8.5″₹2,200₹3,200₹4,200
12″ × 12″₹4,200₹6,200₹8,200
12″ × 18″₹6,300₹9,300₹12,300

A common approach is one large 12″ × 12″ album for the couple at 40–60 pages, plus a shorter 8.5″ highlights book for the families. Ten or more copies of the same book are charged at the bulk rate. See wedding photobooks for details.

Layflat vs Regular Binding: Which Should You Choose?

The binding decides whether your photos open flat across two pages or curve into the spine. For a photobook, that difference matters more than almost any other choice.

What “layflat” means

In a layflat book, each spread opens completely flat, from the left edge to the right edge, with no curve towards the spine. A photo can run across both pages and be seen almost in full. Layflat pages are usually thicker and stiffer, which also makes the book feel substantial in the hand.

What regular binding means

Most books on a shop shelf, such as novels and paperbacks, use regular binding: the pages are glued or sewn into the spine. When you open the book, the pages curve towards the centre. For text this doesn't matter, because there are generous inner margins. For a photo that crosses the middle, it does: the centre of the image disappears into the fold.

Best forWedding albums, portfolios, travel and family photobooksNovels, monographs, text-heavy books
CostHigher per pageLower, especially for long books

Which to choose

Choose layflat when photos are the point of the book: weddings, travel, a baby's first year, a photographer's portfolio. It is the only way to use wide, two-page images properly.

Choose regular binding when words are the point: a novel, a memoir or a manual, where pages are mostly text and the book may run to hundreds of pages.

How Binder binds its books

Every Binder photobook is bound layflat and printed on 250gsm matte art paper, in 8.5″ × 8.5″, 12″ × 12″ and 12″ × 18″ sizes. Our trade books (5.5″ × 8″ novel format) use regular perfect binding, which suits text.

One tip for layflat design: even on a flat spread there is a centre line where the pages meet. Run landscapes and venue shots across it freely, but keep faces and important details a little to one side.

How to Digitise Old Photos, Negatives and Slides

Family prints fade and negatives deteriorate a little every year. Here are the three ways to get them onto a computer, and what each one actually gets you.

Option 1: a phone scanning app

Free scanning apps are quick and fine for sharing a photo on WhatsApp. They are limited by your phone camera and the light in the room: expect glare on glossy prints, slightly bent edges, and files too small to reprint large. Phone apps also can't scan negatives or slides properly, because those need light shone through them.

Option 2: a home flatbed scanner

A decent flatbed scanner gives sharp, glare-free scans of prints and documents. Scanning negatives and slides needs a model with a transparency adapter. The real cost is time: a few minutes per photo once you include cleaning, cropping and colour correction. That is manageable for 30 photos and a project of weeks for 500.

Option 3: a professional scanning service

A professional service scans at archival resolution with calibrated equipment, corrects colour against the original, and handles negatives and slides as easily as prints. It costs more per photo, but it is the right choice for large collections, fragile originals, and anything you will want to reprint.

What resolution do you need?

For prints, scan at 600 DPI. A 4×6″ print scanned at 600 DPI becomes a 2400 × 3600 pixel file, enough to reprint it sharply at up to 8×12″. Save masters as TIFF, which keeps every detail, and make JPEG copies for sharing.

Before you scan: five tips

Binder's scanning service

We scan photographic prints from 4×6″ to A3, 35mm, 120 and 4×5″ negatives and slides in colour and black and white, and documents and artwork, at 600 DPI archival quality, colour-calibrated to the original, delivered as TIFF files. Pricing is ₹15 per MB. A standard 4×6″ print comes to about 8–12 MB, so roughly ₹120–180 a print. The minimum order is 100 images, and turnaround is 5–7 working days.

Anywhere in Delhi NCR (Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad) we collect from your home or office. Every collection is logged and photographed, and your originals come back in padded, archival packaging.
